When listening back to recordings I've done the Pro Jet with the original black tops was almost indistinguishable from the Brian Setzer (TV Jones). I don't know if that's due to the Brian Setzers being a hotter pickup.
WebJun 22, 2024 · The regular PowerTron set is calibrated to work together. They sound great, like a good crossbreed between a FilterTron and a PAF. I found them to be an excellent replacement for the Setzers in this guitar. Adding some mids made for a fuller sounding guitar and got rid of the percieved mushy bottom/annoying highs.
