WebSep 18, 2011 · Re: GFR going up She is just a family GP. I had 4 consecutive gfr's that were in the 40's then this one. I am so thankful that it has not gone lower at this point but it still seems odd to me. As an aside, how long can I expect it to remain this way. Do your kidneys always get worse with time and it doesn't matter what you do to take care of them?
